About us

For almost 30 years, Constance Care has been a market leader in home and live-in care services across Scotland. While our management team alone has decades of combined experience in social care, we don’t rest on our laurels. We’re always looking to the future, improving our services and looking for ways to better support those in need.

We believe in delivering the highest standard of care through a holistic approach to everyone we care for, placing them front of centre while consulting their friends, family, and medical professionals to plan the best care we can. Over the years, we’ve been committed to looking after and encouraging people to live independently within their own homes.

We offer homecare as a short to long-term solution, to help in crisis situations, or assist with daily living. Our principal objective is the provision of high-quality support to enable people of all ages to be cared for in their own home for as long as is possible. Alternatively, we want to enable customers to return to their own homes from a stay in a hospital or accommodation elsewhere, thereby promoting a real choice between care at home and residential care.

Our customers are treated as individuals. No two people have the same needs or likes and that applies to our staff, who may vary in ability and personality. It’s our job to match a customer’s requirements to that of our monitored and trained care staff.

Our team

Our staff are employed on a permanent basis; we do not employ casual workers. All of our care staff require two positive references, one of which must be the last employer and the second a work-related contact preferably. A third reference can be offered as a character reference. These are available to all customers prior to any care commencing.

We select our team based on their experience, skill set, compassionate nature, and reliability. We support our staff with weekly team meetings, bi-annual supervision, and one-to-one annual appraisals. All new team members have a one-week induction, four days of which are direct ‘class based’ theory and practical demonstrations, followed by on-the-job shadowing with an experienced senior care professional.

We train our staff jointly with local health authorities, offering a quality of training which is both professionally recognised and certificated. There are rolling programmes through the year for training to cover key themes.

All staff wear a uniform, carry ID badges, and are fully-insured. We’re fortunate to have our own in-house training suite where all staff are trained to the highest possible standard – we continually look to ensure our standards exceed the norm. We closely monitor performance, including along customer interaction, to ensure we meet their individual needs and expectations. This feeds into a personal plan for each client that details their requirements, wishes, aspirations, and desired outcomes.

Non-discrimination

Constance Care is committed to the principle of equal opportunities. It’s the aim of the Company to ensure that no person receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of sex, race, age, colour, creed, religion, ethnic or national origin, nationality, marital/parental status, disability, sexuality or social status. Additionally, we will not discriminate between people who pay privately and those who do not.
